Inspired by Palig's blog post on armmad about the plantcestors our Armenian ancestors worked with, I bring you a blog post to encourage you to take care of yourself as you navigate the darkness of this world. Especially to my fellow Armenians, please take care of yourselves to minimize burnout.
Pomegranate: As we move away from the Aries (Harvest) Full Moon to harness the energy of this full moon, I recommend working with Pomegranate Flower essence to connect to our resourcefulness and inner power and strength to face the atrocities this world is presenting us with. Pomegranate is ruled by Mars, and so is Aries. Aries rules the blood flow in the body, so any activity that supports a healthy blood flow in your body (based on your circumstance) can be extremely beneficial.
Salt: Working with salt for purification, protection, and release work. Use salt in your showers to scrub away energies. These days, we are consuming a lot of content online to stay up-to-date with the latest updates related to Artsakh-Armenians (as we should), so taking care of our spiritual hygiene is extremely necessary to minimize burnout, especially for us sensitive folks.
Obsidian/Black Tourmaline: Working with protective and clearing crystals like black tourmaline to keep unwanted energies from entering your home or your energy field can be very supportive, or Obsedian, which acts like a vacuum to clear unwanted energy. You can carry these crystals in a pouch, wear them as jewelry, and use them in your home; in the corners, by the entrance, or in the middle of the room.
Rose: Last spring, when we studied Apricot Peach Rose Flower Essence in our study group, much of the feedback was that Rose felt like a connector to our grandmothers, and that rose is. Now is a great time to connect to our grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and great-great-grandmothers, most of whom endured the atrocities of the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Make offerings of Rose, Frankincense, and prayer to their spirit and kindly ask for guidance.
